I am writing to request your support for the Twenty Seventh Annual Untouchables Golf Classic. As always, this tournament benefits the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). This event has been a great success over the past twenty six years, raising over $320,000.00 for the NLEOMF.
In the United States, one law enforcement officer is killed every 53 hours. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial ensures a place exists to honor this ultimate sacrifice. Dedicated in 1991, the Memorial features the names of over 19,000 law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Funds from the Untouchables Golf Classic help the NLEOMF with the unfortunate cost of adding new names to the Memorial, as well as promoting law enforcement safety. The NLEOMF is also working on building the National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C., which is expected to receive more than one-half million visitors per year.
The Untouchables Golf Classic is organized by current law enforcement officers with the help of many in the law enforcement community. We reach out to businesses that are patronized by law enforcement officers, as well as those that compliment our profession. There are many ways to support our cause either by playing in the tournament, sponsoring a hole, or making a donation of products and/or services. Additional information about sponsorship opportunities can be found in the attached flyer.
This year’s tournament is scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2017, at Bull Run Golf Club in Haymarket, Virginia. Over 140 golfers will participate in this year’s tournament, including some of the top leaders in the law enforcement community.
The Untouchables operates completely with volunteer support and no donor money is used for administering this event. Additionally, the NLEOMF is a 501(c) charitable organization, employer identification number 52-1382926. Feel free to contact me to discuss this opportunity at 202-528-9332. Please help us honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day for our protection. I hope we can count on your support.
